Bishop Parker

Bishop Charlie R. Parker Jr., confessed Christ at a very young age while attending the Rescue Mission Church of God in Christ of Hopkins Park, IL. The pastor, the late Elder Michael Wilson, confirmed the ministerial gift in his life that had already been nurtured by his parents the late Elder Charlie R. Parker Sr. and the late Mother Schuntil (Watkins). Elder Wilson, empowered by the Holy Ghost, continued to guide and instruct the young Bishop Parker to preach his first sermon entitled, “Children Obey Your Parents” Ephesians 6:1-4 at the tender age of 12.

After marriage and a brief tour in the military, Bishop Parker resided in Salinas, California, where he joined the Royal Family Church of God in Christ. Following 11 years of faithful service and dedication, he was recommended for and ordained a minister by the late Pastor, District Superintendent, Johnny Franklin, on January 15, 1989 in Monterey, California. Bishop Parker continued to serve as the Superintendent of Christian Education, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor’s Aide Advisor and Vice President of the Men’s Ministry. In 1990, Bishop Parker and family relocated to Clearlake, California where he began noon day prayer in his home and the city park. God blessed this prayer meeting and it began to grow. Through much prayer and consecration, Redeeming Tabernacle Church of God in Christ was birthed under the leadership of Bishop Parker. The ministry came under the covering of California Northwest Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Bishop W. W. Hamilton, Jurisdictional Prelate, January 7, 1991.

Having a sincere desire to know more about the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Bishop Parker fasted and sought God for revelation. God led him to a revival conducted by District Elder Joshua Cotton at Hilltop Apostolic Community Church in Clearlake, CA where the late Christyn Hamilton was pastor. That night God revealed his Deity to Bishop Parker through a message entitled ‘“Moses Got Water But God Was Not Pleased”. Upon accepting this revelation, he was baptized in the name of Jesus according to Acts 2:38 on August 21, 1994 and his life has never been the same. Later, in January 2005, Bishop Parker moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana and became affiliated with Bishop Dr. Ronnie Brown, founder of United Churches of the World, Inc. Buffalo, NY. Bishop Brown appointed Bishop Parker Auxiliary Bishop in 2003. Soon after, in April 2005, at a Conference in Buffalo, NY, Bishop Parker met Prophetess Dr. Mary Griffin, pastor of Radical Praise & Worship Prophetic Outreach Ministries, Dayton, OH. In the same year, he proposed to Pastor Griffin, moved to Duluth, GA, and joined the ministry of New Life International Prophetic Outreach Ministries. On November 5, 2005, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Prophetess Griffin.

In July 2006, Bishop Parker received his Masters Degree in Christian Education, from the prestigious International Apostolic University Of Grace And Truth, Indianapolis; IN. An Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree was also conferred upon him, and he is currently studying to receive an earned Doctor of Divinity degree. On September 10, 2006, he was appointed and consecrated by Overseer Mary Parker, Pastor and Founder of New Life International and Co-Consecrators, Evangelist Dr. Ann Burton and Elder Alphonsa Foward, Jr. to Co-Pastor of New Life International Prophetic Outreach Ministries. Later, Bishop Parker was officially consecrated to the Office of the Bishop by Bishop Lewis Hilton, Word of Deliverance, Cincinnati, OH at Holy Convocation, on April 22, 2007. Bishop Parker is an anointed man of God, and together, Bishop and Prophetess Parker are impacting the Kingdom of God with force.
