Bishop Dr. Frank McAvor

Bishop Dr. Frank McAvor is the President of The Covenant Apostolic University in Tema, Ghana and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religion of the New Covenant Institute of Advanced Leadership Training (NIBALT). Bishop McAvor has over 30 years of experience as Pastor, a Bible teacher and an accomplished Church administrator. He has worked with over 200 churches in the Republics of Ghana, Togo, Benin and Cote D’Ivoire developing the enabling environment for pastors and all desiring to work in the Lord’s Vineyard to build and strengthen their capacities.

Dr. McAvor received Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Ghana and Master of Science in Development Economics from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland. Dr McAvor also holds an MBA degree from Harvard University and Post–Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from University of California, Berkeley.  He holds a Diploma in Theology from the New Covenant Institute of Advanced Leadership Training (NIBALT).

His passion now is to share his experiences acquired in over 30 years of working in the public service and the Lord’s Vineyard with younger ministers. The challenge however, is that of working together with like-minded pastors, educators and church administrators to train a new generation of Pastors, Teachers and Church Administrators in sound theology and church management. He is married to Rev. Akofa McAvor, a Pastor and Bible Teacher extraordinaire.
