Dr. Doris C. Anthony

Dr. Doris Cooper Anthony is a gifted and talented speaker anointed and appointed by the Lord to bring deliverance to His people through teaching, preaching and healing by the power of God.

She was born in Mobile, Alabama to the late Rev. William B. Cooper and Mrs. Henrietta Fields Cooper.  She attended and graduated from George Washington Carver School in 1965, where she distinguished herself in the choir, French and oratory. Her early Christian Education was fostered in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Sunbeam Choir, the Youth Choir and the Gospel Chorus.  She was also a member of the Christian Youth Fellowship and the Mattie E. Coleman Missionary Circle.  She submitted to watch care under the pastorate of  Dr. Joseph Coles at Williams Institutional CME during her hiatus in New York.  Upon her return to Montgomery in 1967, she became director of the youth choir, and also Director of the Board of Christian Education.

She attended Tuskegee University where she was a member of the “golden voices” under the direction of Dr. Relford W. Patterson.  She also served as a tutor in the TICEP program with Dean Phillips in White Hall, Alabama.  She subsequently attended Alabama State University graduating with honors in English and French.

She earned the Master of Education from Alabama State University.  She also received the Associate Degree in Nursing from Troy State University, the Doctorate of Christian Education from Pentecostal Bible Institute, Tuskegee, AL and the Master of Science in Ministry from Southern University.

Dr. Anthony has a diverse back ground which has allowed her to touch the lives of so many through her service as a nurse, Teaching Principal at Greater Macedonia Christian Academy.  She has served as a Practical Nursing Instructor at Trenholm State Technical College where she gained popularity as a motivational speaker for capping exercises. She also taught English and Ethics at Trenholm State.  She served as Chaplain, Vice President and President of Trenholm State Technical College’s AEA.  Additionally, Dr. Anthony was a member of the Lyceum Committee and also pioneered Distance Learning Education.

Dr. Anthony was a faithful member of Macedonia Miracle Kingdom and Worship Center where Presiding Prelate Bishop Leo S. and Elect Lady Sharon Lewis are pastors.

She served as an altar worker, radio and television announcer, Dean of Miracle Word Bible College, Associate Pastor, and Chairperson of the Board of Elders.

Dr. Anthony has been cited with many awards and honors including proclamations from the late honorable Governor  George C. Wallace, but she considers the baptism in Jesus’ Name and subsequent infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance to be the greatest accomplishment in her life. She is the Founder and Director of Hadassah Ministries, which seeks to empower the people of God through the Word and the power of prayer.

She is the author of “Severing The Ties That Bind” which depicts the plan of the enemy to abort the purpose and plan of God through ungodly soul ties. She serves as chaplain of the Westwood Improvement Association.

She is a doting Mother of three handsome sons and one beautiful daughter.  She also has three energetic grandsons, two inquisitive granddaughters and three daughters in love, as well as one great grandchild.  Her greatest desire is to see the manifold Wisdom of God be made known to the principalities and powers in heavenly places through the Church.
